Senior Years (Grade 9 and 10) :
- Languages : The curriculum for Grades 9 and 10 includes two languages, one of which is
English. The other language may be a regional language or a foreign language. Students
are expected to develop advanced language skills, including writing, comprehension,
and communication.
- Mathematics : The mathematics curriculum for Grades 9 and 10 is designed to introduce
students to advanced concepts in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics.
Students are expected to solve complex mathematical problems and develop analytical
and logical thinking skills.
- Science : The science curriculum for Grades 9 and 10 covers physics, chemistry, and
biology. Students are expected to gain an in-depth understanding of scientific concepts
and theories and develop practical skills through laboratory work.
- Social Sciences : The social sciences curriculum includes history, geography, political
science, and economics. Students are expected to develop an understanding of the
historical and political developments, as well as social and economic issues affecting the
world.
- Work Education and Art Education : Grade 9 and 10 students are required to take part in
work education and art education programs to help them develop practical skills,
creativity, and an appreciation for the arts. Work Experience or SEWA (Social
Empowerment through Work Education and Action)
- Physical Education : A comprehensive view of Health and Physical Education includes
and encompasses the three areas of Health Education, Physical Education (Games and
Sports), and Yoga
Overall, the CBSE Grade 10 curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation
in academic subjects, as well as practical skills and knowledge to help them succeed in their
future careers.

CURRICULUM
To foster competencies in learners, the curriculum encompasses seven major learning areas,
which are: Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Sciences, Skill Subjects, General Studies and
Health and Physical Education. Experiential and active learning are the pedagogies for
Competency-Based Learning that promote critical thinking, creativity and effective study skills
among students. The integrated curriculum helps individuals develop confidence, interpersonal
skills, and personal development necessary to navigate social and professional situations and
focus on preparing them for success in various aspects of life, including academia, business, and
social interactions.
